D is for DIDDY - HUSTLE BABY HUSTLE

Sean Combs aka Puff Daddy, P.Diddy, and now known as Diddy, is an iconic American rapper, record producer, actor, and clothing designer who founded an entertainment empire in the 1990s. Not much he can’t do hey?

Supposedly received the nickname “Puffy” for his habit of puffing up his chest during football practice, Diddy made his name by dropping out of college and working his way up the ranks at Uptown Records. After he left Uptown, Diddy started his own label, Bad Boy Entertainment, where he soon discovered and befriended Christopher Wallace aka The Notorious B.I.G! Propelling Biggie in to the big leagues, Diddy negotiated a $15 million deal to move Bad Boy to Arista Records, which gained him a growing industry-wide reputation as a rap impresario and entrepreneur.

After we lost Biggie in 97, Diddy released his first album, No Way Out which included the Grammy-winning single “I’ll Be Missing You,” a musical eulogy featuring the voice of Wallace’s widow and the melody from the Police’s “Every Breath You Take.”

1998 Combs took home two Grammy Awards, for rap album (No Way Out) and rap performance (“I’ll Be Missing You”), and he also launched the Sean John clothing line. On top of this he is a dope dad to his SIX beautiful kids - no doubt one of the coolest dads around town!
